DevOps FAQs

At Cloud Capital, the security of our customers’ data is a top priority. We implement best-in-class security practices to ensure that all data accessed, processed, and stored through our cloud cost optimization tool is safe and compliant with industry standards.

Below are answers to common questions from the Technical team. If you have any more specific questions reach out to your Cloud Analyst.

  1. Is my AWS Organization shared with other Cloud Capital customers?
No, your AWS Organization is dedicated solely to your use and is completely siloed. This means your data, costs, and access are kept separate from those of other Cloud Capital customers.

  2. Will we retain control of our AWS Organization and be able to use AWS Organization services?
Yes, you will retain full control of your AWS Organization and can continue to use AWS Organization-level services as you do currently. The only exception is AWS Control Tower, which will not be available. If there are other services you need, please let us know so we can confirm their availability.

  3. We use IAM Identity Center for SSO through Azure AD. Can we continue using this, and will we need to set it up from scratch?
You will be able to continue using IAM Identity Center for SSO with Azure AD, but it will need to be migrated to the new Organization. Cloud Capital has internal tools that can help automate this migration process to make the transition as smooth as possible.

  4. Do you retain root access to the billing/management account? While Cloud Capital retains access to the billing account for forecasting and optimization, you will have primary access to a dedicated billing account. This will allow you to view Cost Explorer, billing information, and the Cost and Usage Report across all of your accounts. The only access Cloud Capital has within your accounts is limited to two roles: one for read-only forecasting and another for commitment purchases, which is restricted to a single account.
